Interesting house with some nice grounds. A good long walk round the grounds. Excellent activity days for parents and kids. Another National Trust success, not quite as engaging as some houses but interesting nonetheless. There is not much roped off so you can really examine rooms and contents, and all volunteers are helpful and knowledgeable.
A great little, quaint place that has got a remarkable history. The story of people and the place is quite enchanting. Upstairs, there is an awesome model railway that was built by one man over a period of 35 years. It truly is a work of art. The detail is phenomenal. The café is rather cramped and small but the staff are very friendly and the food is good!

My son love this place. A lot of space to run. A lot of squirrels to chase. Quite a few ducks to feed. You can even buy food for them. Unlucky you cannot buy it all the time, only when cafe or museum is open. Still great place to go.
Stewart's park is close by and a particular favourite of my wife. We have used and lived nearby the park for more than 32 years. It was sad when the planetarium closed, Also it would especially nice and beneficial for children to see a wider variety of animals and birds returned to the park. I recall often taking my young grandson there when he was small, he is now 18, and now we have a 3 year old grandson who loves the animals
